Gemma and her bible

Gemma has become a bit of a hoarder πŸ™ˆ who has to have things with her at all times. Lately it has been her blankie, her pinkie (owl beanie boo) and her bible. I just love it. She's for sure my girly girl, but the fact that she insists on carrying her bible around with her all the time is just so awesome. I hope she always has a love for Jesus and desires to keep His word hidden in her heartπŸ’—.

February Bike ride?!?

The weather has been incredible for February! I'm sure we will pay for it later, but we are so excited about it and loving the time we are getting to spend outdoor without coats and even (gasp) in a tank top eating ice cream. We biked 8 miles today, Micah doing it all on his own, and I couldn't be more proud. What a fun day with my kids πŸ’œ.

Essential Gathering

We had such a good weekend! Laura and Kate joined Reid, Gemma and I for a trip to St. Louis to go to Ashley's oil workshop. What a fun day it was, and overall just a fun trip. I'm realizing more and more how blessed I am with friendships - and Laura is one of the closest. Our kids get along so well and I'm so thankful for the history that we have. It was also just a great time to learn a little more about essential oils and build on the beautiful community that Young Living has provided to me through my team. I don't know what the future holds and what the business has in store for me, but I know I'm thankful for the way the last 2.5 years have gone once I started becoming an oiler.

And in addition, our weekend was in St. Louis - the kids were thrilled to see Nana Kay and Papa C!

Potty Training Gemma Jams!

It has begun...I have delved in to the world of potty training, hopefully for the last time! I just love looking at the big girls on my big girl. I remember for Micah the first time he started potty training, and then again for Reid and now Gemma...they just seem like such big kids in real undies vs a diaper! So far, she's done pretty good. We haven't had a ton of accidents, and pooping isn't coming very easily, but I'm not giving up yet. This is probably one of my least dreaded things in the early parenting years and I know I'm *almost* over this. While there are many things that make me sad thinking about my babies growing up, this is not one of them πŸ˜‰.

Random December

What a FUN month! December is always such a crazy busy month but there's always so much fun that happens, too. It starts out with the Wheaton Bible Church ladies night and just goes on from there. Concerts, cookie exchanges, Santa visits, lights viewings, Christmas Eve services and Christmas Day, just to name a few. We had some fun with friends at the ball factory, at our house for dinner, movie nights and coffee with "Aimee" (Gemma's new BFF), as well as Gemma's meltdowns over the silliest things.

Happy December, end of 2016 and beginning of 2017!!
