S'Mores Fun

What better way to break in a new house than with friends and s'mores?  :)  We had beautiful weather last week and capped it off with a s'mores night last Saturday with Laura and her kiddos.  Unfortunately Tim was sick and unable to make it, but we made the most of it and the kids (and adults!) had a blast.  It was a great start to what is expected to be a fun-filled summer!!

These 4 littles have such fun together - and Laura and I will each be adding another to the mix this year.  Me, a girl, her, a boy.  It's sure to bring more fun in the future!

House Videos

While we haven't taken many pictures, we did manage to capture 3 videos which show our new house pretty well.  Unfortunately 2 aren't loading right now, but I can at least get this one shown.  It's of our upstairs level, where there are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom.  Currently we will have all 3 kids in different rooms, but once I feel comfortable sharing the boys, Christian will get an official office :)

MOVE!

The day finally came, and we did indeed move.  April 4th was a beautiful, albeit scary day, as we officially became homeowners to a single family home.  We also still owned our Lincoln Station townhouse...and it wasn't exactly how we had planned to be owners to two homes :)

I don't have too many pictures from moving day itself, and only a few that we've taken since being here.  I know that shocks many of you, as Christian and I tend to be picture happy!  But we've been quite busy with actually getting our place in order that I haven't taken time out to actually document things.  It should be done, though, as it would be good to remember our early days at our new home.

Christian driving the massive moving truck.  He did a fantastic job...I was impressed :)

Reid is thoroughly enjoying the circular fire pit in our back yard.  He loves being able to drive round and round!

If not on the big truck, then he's attempting to ride Micah's bike.  He can't push the pedals yet, but he's trying.  I got him a balance bike for his birthday (a week from tomorrow!!) and I think he'll love it.  At least I hope so.

Such a big boy!!

The boys riding around our yard.  Probably my favorite part of our house is the back yard.  I love it all, truly, but I love, love, love our back yard.  A fenced in area where the boys can go out and play...I've been dreaming of it ever since Micah was born!

We were blessed to have friends give of their time and energy to aide to our assistance for moving day. We couldn't have done it without them and are grateful for their kindness in helping make our move a tremendous success.
Steve hard at work (truthfully it's about the only time he sat down all day!)

Grandpa taking care of Reid while chaos was all around

All the guys figuring out the best way to load our furniture on the truck.  They did a great job and fit it all on in one trip, thank goodness!

Our new home!

I love the below pics with the boys.  Never mind my reflection in the glass door while trying to get some smiles out of them :)
Sweet boy.

Micah is clearly not impressed.

And still not...

Finally!

Reid loving the camera, for once :)

Love my boys!

28 weeks

This is a bit overdue, but the same weekend as my roomie girls weekend, I hit the 3rd trimester!  Yay!!  In 10 weeks or less from now, we will be meeting our sweet baby girl and welcoming her to the craziness of her family with two older brothers :)

I wanted to do one picture update, seeing that the 3rd trimester is monumental and have another comparison with Reid's pregnancy.  I couldn't find a Micah 28 week picture, but that's ok.  It's hard to tell, but overall I feel like I'm looking pretty much the same with the 2 pictures as far as baby bump goes.  You tell me - what do you think?

Life is good - crazy, but good.  Closing is set for Friday and we're getting closer and closer to being ready.  It's definitely surreal, but we are super excited and ready to begin the next chapter in our lives!  Prayers that all goes smoothly would be appreciated, as well as the transition for all of us (kitty included) in to our new place.

Short Sleeves!

It might only be 26 degrees outside, but it's March 30, darn it, and my boys are wearing short sleeves!

Reid is clearly thrilled with my request for a picture, which makes me laugh because of his little stubborn personality coming through...

Packing Fun

Our house is in complete disarray.  And understandably so, as we are closing on our new house next Friday (8 days!!) and moving the following day.  Everything is, thus far, falling in to place, though I'm continuing to trust God's hand in this process. The appraisal for our current home came out fine and to my knowledge, everything is going ok with regards to that upcoming closing as well.  The buyers did have to ask for a loan extension deadline, but the reasons seemed to be valid and not ones of big concern.  Prayers that that continues to be the case would be appreciated.

Just a glimpse of what our house is looking like.  Bare walls, bare entertainment center, and boxes (both filled and unfilled) taking over the entire house!

In the midst of the packing, the boys are having fun playing with chaos in the house.  Boxes everywhere, toys as they know it packed up, and they are also discovering new "toys" with which to play.

While I know they shouldn't be playing here, and I was telling them to get out, I couldn't help but snap a couple of pictures first.  And I have to say, this was definitely Reidees led...Micah was only doing it because younger brother was.  We may have a little stinker on our hands, but he's so darn cute to get too mad at!

Micah's been as intent as ever in working on his writing skills, and I continue to be impressed with what he's learning.  He also, tonight, started writing math equations out of the blue.  A boy after my own heart, I tell ya.

All of this writing is on his own.  He was working on his uncles and cousins today - too cute to be a part of.  Love this kid!

And just to make sure Reid isn't overlooked :)  Love this kid too!
