Random August

Time for my end of month post where I put all the random events in to one last post!  August was a fun month and ended with two huge moments of both my boys starting their respective schools.  We also took meals to two friends who had babies and said good bye to good friends who are moving to London.  We had play dates and water park fun and butterfly gardens and food fun.  Looking forward to moving in to the fall and figuring out a little bit of a routine with some hopefully cooler temps our way!

Preschool for Reidees!

Today was another big day in our house!  Reid started preschool and all of a sudden I have 2 boys out of the house for part of the day.  I already feel life going by too quickly, and this was more evidence of that!  We had Reid's meet n' greet on Tuesday and he was quite shy when it came to talking to his teacher.

Today though, he was all smiles and very excited that it was his first day of preschool and that he got to hold the sign.  Love my sweet middle child who lives life to the fullest!  We're excited for you Reid!  I know this will be a great time for you to make new friends and learn new things and we can't wait to watch you flourish.

Gemma is a bow loving, bow wearing, girly girl :)

Or maybe that's just mommy...but either way, she's a sweetheart and I'm loving having a girl!

Back Yard Camping = bucket list check!

We ended the first week of school with a bang!  S'mores and back-yard camping :) It's been on our bucket list and we've been anxious to get it done and just haven't had the chance.  So back-yard camping it was.  And the kiddos loved it.  Loved it!!!!!!!  Reid was so sad to have to sleep in his own bed the next night, sweet boy.  I'll confess, I did not sleep outside (someone had to listen for Gemma inside, right?) but I was with the boys until they went to bed at about 9:10pm.  I even snuggled in the tent with them for a few minutes while they wound down and watched a "Paw Patrol" (the latest show obsession).   It was really a great night and one I see becoming a tradition in the future!
