Abbey Farms x2

We now live 5 minutes from Abbey Farms.  That, combined with multiple groupon offers, made a weekend or two at Abbey Farms as a fun to do fall activity.

The first weekend we met up with Betsy and Jason and kiddos and had a gorgeous day!

Is she not the cutest little peanut??

The second weekend we met up with Kate and Steve and their boys and had, yet again, another gorgeous weekend!  We have been blessed with outdoor activities this fall and the kiddos have loved being able to play outside.  Gemma's done really well too and I'm loving this family of 5 thing!!  (well, somedays :)  other days are quite challenging, but I wouldn't trade it for the world!)

Field trip and bus ride

Micah's really been enjoying his Pre-K this year.  I'm not surprised, and really happy that he's doing so well...makes me a little sad to think about my baby growing up, but it's been a good year so far.  Last week they headed out to a pumpkin farm for his first field trip and time on a bus!  My pictures didn't turn out great, but I wanted to capture the memory anyway.

Bye, Mom!

His little head peering over the window.

This is a corn he got from the farm, and we put it in a brown paper bag and popped it in to the microwave.  Two minutes later, this appeared!

Leaf Fun

What says fall more than falling leaves?  And playing in the leaves has provided us hours of fun this week!  The boys have had a blast raking the leaves and jumping in them, throwing them, wrestling in them, and fighting in them.  Even Gemma got in on the fun, but decided she'd had enough once the leaves started hitting her face :)  It's simple moments like this that remind me to slow down, appreciated the small things, and try and see things through the eyes of my children.  It doesn't take much, just a little intentionality, to provide memories for them! It's also moments like these continue to make me grateful for the house that we now have and be reminded of the Lord's goodness in our lives.

And of course, I had to grab my camera to capture these memories being made :)
