Random March

A fun tower building, lego building, free ice cream and chick fil a kinda month (with a little Reid scrapes and bruises mixed in!) We also had some random dogs end up in our back yard one morning which had me quite freaked out, until I realized it was our neighbors dogs and they got in through our broken fence! Up next month, a new fence :)

St. Louis Trip

I don't have many pictures to document our spring break trip to St.Louis, but we traveling through some crazy storms on the ways down and more rain on the way back. It was great! The kids don't really sleep well in the car, but we are usually guaranteed 20-40 minutes at least, haha.

We left after our Easter lunch and arrived right around dinner time. There was some March madness on TV and my dad commented about how calm my boys seemed. While I should have taken note there, I didn't think much of it and put the boys to bed. Sure enough an hour later Micah comes downstairs and says his tummy hurts and then throws everything up! Reid had a low grade fever and I thought, man, sorry Mom and Dad!!  Thankfully it only lasted for about a half day and no one else got sick.

My mom was not on spring break herself and my dad and Christian were working too, so it was lots of time with me and the kids. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and parks and playing outside which was a wonderful thing! It's always nice to break up the routine every now and then. :)

Easter weekend!

We had a great weekend filled with Easter egg hunts, egg dying and a resurrection celebration. Grandma and Grandpa came in to town as well, and we were thrilled to have some family time, too. My favorite part of the weekend I think was watching the boys walk in church waving their palm branches with their Sunday school classes, even though our pictures are blurry. I'm grateful for these moments to slow down and enjoy life together and remember the reason we have this life in the first place. Easter - Micah's favorite holiday!

Running Wall

After my New Orleans race, I have come up with a 50 in 50 goal...that is run my 50th state by the time I'm 50. It sounds ambitious, but also achievable and I'm excited to see how this plays out over the next 15 years! My friend Kim's husband created a running board for him and his wife, and I asked if he could make me 2(!) too. One for Christian and I to share, and one for all my marathons. I worked on it a bit a couple days ago and am excited with the outcome! This is the shared board (in the future) but is currently holding all my marathon medals. It feels a little more like "wow" to me when I saw it all displayed like this. A fun passion for sure!

Girlie Girl Gemma!!!

I love my girlie girl. Gemma loves her bows and her beads. She also loves pretending to put on make-up. And the latest was that she got her first pedicure the day I headed out for the New Orleans marathon. I would have been fully happy and content had my third child been a boy, but I have to admit, Gemma being a girl makes it so much fun! I love having a daughter to do girlie things with and can only imagine it getting better as she gets older.
