Happy 8 Months Reidees - and a Merry Christmas, too ;)

Time is flying.  Two-thirds of a year and here we are - Christmas Day.  It's been a pretty packed month including Thanksgiving and Christmas and sickness and learning...and we're ending the year with time in St. Louis.  Reid's been a little more needy this month, but I think that's due to his bout with the flu as well as his two front teeth that have yet to come in...though we were really hoping for a Christmas gift with those.  Oh well...soon they'll be here, I'm sure.

Mickey pictures took on quite a transformation, as you'll see he went from being pant less to a full-on Santa suit.  It's not often you turn a certain month on Christmas Day :)  Such a smiley, smiley little boy!  What a sweetie.

We didn't have a doctor appointment this month, so I have no stats to share and we'll just have to wait until next month to get a gauge on how Reid is growing.  I do think he's had a growth spurt this month (as has Micah, actually) and he's just crazy active and really keeping me on my toes!

Things to remember:
  • how you started pulling to stand in your crib and struggled for about 5 nights on getting back down and were up for hours in the middle of the night (making for a very tired momma as well!)
  • how you came down with the flu and were such a sad, pathetic, limp and hot little body :(  it was so tough seeing you so sick...but you came through it fine.
  • how you have begun loving table food this month, and consequently begun rejecting the pureed baby food...today you had banana bread and loved it!
  • how you got your first big boy haircut, after 2 haircuts in which I left it longer...it took a couple of days, but I have finally adjusted to the new look and really like it.
  • how you have cut out another feeding, and are only eating once at night (sometimes, rarely, none!)
  • how you learned how to climb all the way up the stairs!  I can't believe you are able to do it, and while it tires you out, you have become a pro.
  • how you are standing on everything, and even have started walking a little bit along the crib or couch as well
  • how teething has been wreaking havoc on your naps and contentedness throughout the days...I can't wait for these next 2 to make their appearance so we can have our happy baby back.
  • how absolutely mobile you are, rarely still while you're on the ground, moving from one thing to the next super quickly
  • how you said "Mama" this month, and it melted my heart :)

Yay for 8 months baby Reid!  Keep on growing and learning in the next month too.
