as I was explaining its symbolism. I let him know that Daddy had given me my necklace when he, Micah, was born. I told him that the bottom pearl was for him being born. And then I went on to tell him that the other three pearls were for the 3 babies I had lost. I told him I had lost 3 babies before having him, and then he made it and made me the happiest Mommy in the whole world.
He stared intently at my necklace, feeling all 4 pearls, and the looked up at me and said in such a sweet, soft voice, "Don't worry Mommy, I will find the babies." Heart. Melting. I then explained that the babies were in heaven with Jesus, to which he replied, "It's okay Mommy, I will find the babies in heaven with Jesus."
What a sweetheart. He literally thought I had lost 3 babies and he wanted to help me find them. I just love this little boy so much, and if it's possible, another part of my love for him grew today in a new way with this moment.
