We were also able to see Christian's grandma while there, and was the primary reason for our visit this Christmas season. Christian's grandma's health is not doing too well and that is a hard concept to accept, but I know she was so grateful to meet Micah and see such a happy smiley little boy to help lift her spirits. He was just captivated by great-grandma Gould and couldn't stop staring at her during our visit which was so sweet. Micah has now met all of his living great-grandmas and we have the pictures to prove it :).

Michigan Visit
Christian, Micah and I took a two day trip up to Michigan this past week to introduce our little boy to Christian's mom's side of the family. Grandma Lauffer is 1 of 11, so there are quite the number of aunts and uncles and cousins to meet...and it is convenient that the majority of those 11 live near each other, in the suburbs of Detroit. We were able to stay with one of those siblings while there (thank you so much Uncle John and Aunt Val for your kind hospitality!!) and were able to meet an additional six, which makes for 8 of those 11 siblings! Quite a bit more than the Ford side, where my dad is an only child and my mom has 2 other siblings...but I digress.
