Micah is done with his pacifier! I can't believe it's officially come, and was such an easy thing to do. Micah has long only had his pacifier for his nap time and was not a battle I felt like fighting yet...but last weekend Christian had forgotten to give Micah his paci at nap time, and Micah didn't ask for it (which is very rare!!). Well, the next day the same thing, and the next day the same thing...so after 3 days, I decide this is our chance.
Ironically, Micah did ask for it...not on day 4, but on day 5 of being gone, and I told him it went bye-bye with his crib. Then he asked for his water, and I responded the same way (I know once he's potty trained we won't want him drinking water all night). Knowing that both the paci and water went bye-bye with his crib, he just seemed to accept it and move on. It's like he realized he's in a big boy bed and with that comes some changes. I can't believe how seamless the removal of the paci was, and I am so pleased to know we are one more transition down with our big boy.
Next up? Potty training. Stay tuned...I know it's on the horizon, but have no plans at this point of when! :)
