Publishing this after collecting quotes over 5-6 months. I know there's more, and I may add to it or just start another quote post...but didn't want to forget these fun memories with my boy.
Me: Micah, it's time to turn off the TV. Say bye-bye shows.
Micah: But I love shows. (Never heard him say that before in his life!)
Me: Did you obey mommy today at the doctor's office?
Micah: No. I did obey Mommy at the store, though.
Me: Good night Micah, I love you! See you in the morning.
Micah: Mom-Mom (his new nickname for me, lol) where you going?
Me: I'm going to clean up the kitchen.
Micah: What are you going to do after that then, Mom-Mom? You going downstairs with Daddy?
...seriously - a 3rd degree from my son at bedtime... :)
2 months later, this has evolved to:
Micah: What you do now?
Me: I'm going to watch TV with Daddy.
Micah: And after you watch TV with Daddy, What you do now?
Me: I'm going to bed.
Micah: And after you go to bed, what you do now?
Me: I'm going to wake up.
Micah: And after you wake up, what you do now?
Me: I don't know buddy.
Micah: I don't know either.
Agh!!!!! It could last forever, I think :) His version of the "Why?" question?
Micah: I love you with your whole heart.
Me: Aw, I love you with my whole heart, too buddy.
Micah: I love you with Daddy's whole heart.
Me, after Micah says something I don't understand: What'd you say buddy?
Micah: Mommy say it.
Me: No, I didn't understand you bud, I don't know what you said.
Micah: I don't know either.
Micah praying, 3.31.13: "Thank you for the cross, Jesus. Thank you for dying and coming back to life. Pray for baby Luke, Josh and Kari, thank you for our blessings, thank you for this day. We love you Jesus. Amen." MELTS MY HEART!!
Christian: Hey Buddy, what happened on Easter?
Micah: Jesus came back from the dead.
***doing something right here***
Micah, while trying to turn on a light that's just a bit tall for him: This light is impossible!
We had told Micah that Costco's peanut butter pretzels weren't good for us, and that they could hurt us (discovered they have GMO's which we are trying to avoid). A couple of days later we had to stop for an ambulance pulling into Rush Copley Hospital, and I told Micah there were probably hurt people in there that we needed to pray for, and he asks, "Did they eat the peanut butter pretzels?"
Micah when looking at any kind of food: I got that food. I got those berries. etc.
Micah constantly telling me: I love you, everyone. I love you so much.
After telling Micah that I had a good run during his sports class, he proceeds to say: I'm proud of you Mama. (heart. melting.)
These are so great! Good job writing them down and thanks for sharing! I love the, "no, but I did obey at the store." Smart kid :)
