It's been a fun summer, and thankfully it's not over yet! Although, if I were teaching or had children in school, I might be feeling differently as it is August 4th now. Where has time gone?? Regardless, we are enjoying life as a family of 4 with 2 crazy active little boys and I am beyond thankful for nap times and bed times to help me rest up and rejuvenate when the boys are up again and ready to go.
Micah's thoroughly enjoyed his sports class, and while he changes every time you ask him his favorite sport, I know he's looking forward to getting to play them all a little more.
What, a puck isn't supposed to be in your mouth??
Well, okay.
Reid continues to give me a run for my money, daily, with all his activity. I'll hear Micah parroting periodically, "You get in to everything kiddo!" or "You silly goober, Reidees" or "You little stinker poo, Reidees". I know I've said it before, but I'm grateful we're not ones that have a swearing problem, because the way these little kids are sponges would prove to be a big problem if we were.

Below are a couple of pictures or Reid enjoying an apple while chillin' as a family at the splash pad.
If it's too cold to be doing water activities, then you can usually find us hanging out at a park. We have visited a variety of parks, multiple times, this summer. Since we don't have a back yard, or a yard at all, really, I can't just send the boys out to play while I make dinner or do something else inside. It's not all bad, truly, and keeps me fully engaged with the boys and playing. Thus the many, many trips to the parks.
I love how they are both sliding down and looking at me here...
And then split their separate ways here!
Micah's last sports class for the session was playing t-ball (inside as the grass was too wet) and a parent was able to join in and play. It was fun throwing the ball to him and him to me and seeing what he could remember and tell me. Reid was home sleeping, thankfully being watched by my neighbor, so that I could spend this 45 minutes with just Micah.

He was so excited about the trophy he was given!
This is a genuine smile as he didn't even know I was taking his picture. Sweet boy.
One of our other past times in the summer is running, and lately our Saturday runs have consisted of the entire family going and playing at some parks during and/or after the run. Micah and I climbed this high tower during our last run.
And Micah getting good use of his bug house from Uncle Mike and Aunt Deanna. It's been inside since his birthday, and he has finally brought it outside to get closer to its intended use of bugs!
