"I'm 3!"
A whirlwind weekend, but we made it through and enjoyed ourselves along the way. Micah had a great birthday, choosing to go to Chick-Fil-A for dinner on his actual birthday and ending with a fantastic birthday party at Monkey Joes and back to our place for food.
The cow came out just as we were leaving, and Micah went over to give him hugs and a hug five. My mom was with us, and told the cow it was Micah's birthday. Micah in turn informed me that is was also the cow's birthday...funny imagination, that kid :)
We then came home and had our own birthday celebration of presents and cupcakes (a couple of blog posts ago) and quite enjoyed celebrating our little boy. The next day, Saturday, was Micah's party and he was super excited for it! We had decided to keep it smaller and simpler this year, seeing that we were gone until 2am Friday morning (Micah's actual birthday) from our trip to St. Martin and knew we needed to do his party that next Saturday. After Reid's mustache bash I knew I couldn't do that again, so Micah invited just 4 boys to go Monkey Joes and then the boys and their families were invited to join us back at our house for a Mickey Mouse themed party with dinner, cupcakes and presents. I think it's safe to say the boys all enjoyed jumping around as well as filling up on some yummy food. Micah was sooooo excited for his birthday party (it definitely helped get him through the time away from Mommy and Daddy I think!) and it was really fun to watch his little face light up with all the Mickey decorations, friends and fun.
Micah's friends he invited: Kalik, Alex, Jackson and Dash (not in picture)
Reid and his buddy Declan, Kalik's brother. Kalik and Declan are our neighbors. Kalik just turned 6, but he and Micah are pretty good buddies. Reid and Declan are just 5 weeks apart, and it's been fun watching them grow in the last year. They're pretty good buddies too :)
I finally got a 3 candle, thanks to my neighbor Jen.
Present time! Micah was blessed by his friends - the theme being remote control cars. I didn't think he was old enough for them yet, but he has surprised me this week. He's learning and it's fun to watch.
My friend Kate (Dash's mom) gave Micah a plethora of Mickey kitchen gear - the perfect gift for my kitchen lovin' boy! Just like his Daddy.
Happy 3rd Birthday Micah!
