Gatlinburg - days 1 and 2

We arrived in Gatlinburg mid-afternoon Monday, unpacked at our house for the week, waited for Grandma and Grandpa to arrive, and then headed out to dinner.

The boys were tired, and entertained with a little baby Einstein action.  I love this picture (though grainy because it was taken with an iPhone at night) because Micah just came up and started loving on Reid.  You can't tell from the picture, but Reid gave him hugs right back.  I love these boys!

After the boys were in bed that night we decided we wanted to do something low-key the next day, so we felt that the aquarium would be a good choice.  It had been recommended to us by a couple of friends and we were not disappointed.

Cool jelly fish display

Grandpa and Reid

Micah checking out the tunnel of fish and sharks all around us!  Quite an impressive exhibit.

Reid taking off on the conveyor belt :)

There was a cool dinosaur exhibit and Micah enjoyed pretending to be like Curious George and go digging for dinosaur bones...glasses, brush and all.  I was thinking more of a Ross from Friends reference, but either way it was a fun time :)

We also got to pick up Horseshoe Crabs - definitely cool though a little creepy too, haha.  Micah touched the crab, but didn't pick him up or hold him.

I love, love, love Reid's face in the next two pictures.  Pure admiration and love for his big brother!

There was a baby penguin just walking around the aquarium.  We were told it was his first day out, and they were trying to get him used to people.  Not something you see every day and definitely memorable!

Reid showing how big he is, able to climb up on everything!

Beautiful downtown Gatlinburg.

Ice Cream!!  We may, or may not have eaten this more than once...

Fun times with Grandma and Grandpa!

Daddy and his boys...so sweet!

This was a view of the aquarium at night.

And this ends our first full day in Gatlinburg.  A fun day and ready for the next to do some exploring!
