Anniversary Staycation

After hosting my family for almost 2 weeks, and my being gone on our actual anniversary, Christian and I were long overdue for a few days away, just the two of us. We had thrown out many different ideas, but kept coming back to downtown Chicago for a number of reasons. Christian wasn't sure on being in the city and so close to work, but I think it ended up being a great few days away. We went to the art institute, took an architectural boat tour (my favorite from the weekend!), went up the Hancock building, headed out to the beach for the day and of course ran a couple of times on the Lakeshore path. Such a perfect weekend away to celebrate 11 amazing years together and so many more to come. To top the weekend off, we came back and bought a new car for Christian. If that isn't a Happy Anniversary, I don't know what is  :) Love you, baby! Here's to many, many more!!
