Micah's 1st Birthday Party

Last Saturday, despite the windy, humid conditions, we had Micah's first birthday party at Phillips Park. It was a great celebration and a perfect place for all the kiddos to play and burn off some energy. There were around 35 adults/kids the showed up to celebrate Micah turning one, and we were grateful to have all of our close friends and family there. As could be expected we took quite a few pictures:) Thanks to our friend Tim for taking over the camera so we could get some good memories of the day! We celebrated Baby Mickey Mouse style, thinking that was approrpiate since he had his pictures taken with Mickey each month.

Happy 1st Birthday Micah! We love you:)

Checking out the cake and balloons.

Excited to open up the fun gifts...although the wrapping paper and being the center of attention was also pretty fun:)

Getting ready for the infamous smash cake! He daintily picked at the icing until he realized the sweetness that ensued. Then he had a pretty good time chowing down on the cake. I think the sugar coma came in about 10 minutes though. That combined with being the center of attention made for a tired little boy!

"But Mom, I don't want to be here anymore! Please let me go..."

"It's okay Micah, you'are going to love this cake:)"

"Hmm...what have we here?"

"This isn't so bad."

"Really, this taste pretty good!"

"Yum-mo!"

"Hey everybody, check me out!"

"What's all the fuss about? I'm just eating."

"Oh, this is some fun food you're giving me!"

"I just love it!"

"But, I think I've had enough for now..."

"Wait, there's cake underneath all that icing??!!?"

"Well, in that case, maybe I should try just a little more."

"Wow, best.food.ever."

"Ahh..."

"Okay, really, I think I'm ready to get down."

"I'm not kidding guys...let me out!"

"Now that's more like it!"

  1. What an absolutely fabulous day! We thoroughly enjoyed helping Micah celebrate his first birthday... and enjoyed our visit the rest of the weekend (even if the weather didn't turn nice until the day we were actually leaving!)
    Happy Birthday, precious boy!
