Wheaties and future Wheaties?!? :)

Last week we had some pretty fantastic weather, of course after Micah's birthday party when it was nice and humid and overcast and rainy...but I'm not bitter or anything;). My friend Claire, a Wheaton grad, was in town for 10 days for back-to-back weddings so me, Katie and Claire decided to meet up and get all the kiddos together for a little park play date. No matter that Katie made up 60% of that kid equation:), we had a great time and the kids certainly enjoyed being outside! Micah has started walking up a storm the past 2 weeks, and this park play date just helped him practice even more. I also realized how big he is getting, as he was next to two 4/4 1/2 month old babies and not the baby himself any more:( Oh how I wish time could slow sometimes...

Ellie and Josh, truly the big kids:)

Me and Micah - it was quite a windy day!

Aww...baby love...

"Momma, it's a little bright out here for me today."

"But I'll still give you a big smile!!"

"Now, if only I could find sunglasses like those big kids are wearing...I wonder if they're in here anywhere."

"Who are those kids, and why are there two of them in the swing?" (says Micah, in the background).

Such a sweet smile.

Finally enjoying the swing! It only took a year:)

We almost got both babies to look at the camera at the same time.

Plum tuckered-out from the park play date:)

Wheaton College grads, all grown up!

  1. Cute! Loved spending the day together - and I love that you are a math nerd me, talking about the number of kids as a percent!

  2. Where was that beautiful weather when we were having the birthday party?!? I'm glad you all got to get together :-) (Oh! the "language nerd" says you have to know that it's "Micah and I" ~ NOT "me and Micah" - right? Just keeping the "math nerds" on track - ha!)
