Nana Kay Visits!

My mom was up a couple of weeks ago, and how grateful I am that she was here.  She even broke her foot the first night she was here, and toughed it out for the week which included lots of walking and grandchild time and didn't go to the doctor until she got back home.  I'm definitely getting better myself, but I was 10 days post baby when she came and am very thankful she gave up a week of her own precious summer time to be with her daughter and her crazy kids!!

Micah had his first VBS all week at a church 5 minutes from our house, so Nana Kay actually got some good 1 on 1 time with Reid, and Reid got some good Momma time as well, since Gemma slept much of the time Micah was gone.

Monday:
Waiting for Nana Kay to arrive and watching shows while holding Gemma.  So sweet :)

Tuesday:  Micah's at VBS, and Reid and I took some selfies.  Love this kid and his silly faces!!

Wednesday:  BlackBerry Farm with Nana Kay while Mommy stayed home with Gemma and Micah was at VBS.

Thursday:  Gemma takes her first bath in a pink towel - provided from (great) Aunt Elizabeth!

We went out for ice cream after dinner that night!  Graham's gelato for Christian and Nana Kay, and Kilwins ice cream for the boys and me!

Friday:  Arboretum time!!

Friday night we headed out to the Davis' house for Jackson's 4th birthday party.  Micah was OUT!  5pm, and I could hardly wake him.  I let him sleep for an additional 20 minutes, as he was spending the night at the Davis' house in a tent with Jason and Jackson.  His first real sleepover, no Reid or Mom or Dad, and I knew he would be cranky without the little bit of rest he was so craving!!  It was a hot, sweaty night but he had fun and while totally off the rest of the weekend, I'm glad he had a good time and a fun memory!

Saturday:  Papa C arrives!  Christian and I actually got a couple hours out sans kiddos to do a little shopping for our built-ins.

What a great time we had, and again, how grateful I was for the help.  It was the last hoorah for me and help, before Christian went out of town and I was left solo with 3 kiddos ;)  More on that in another post!
