Well, exit 149 - a rest area - was under renovations so we made our way to exit 145 instead. So our lovely idea of letting the kids run out some energy at a rest area became a truck stop and not at all ideal. It all worked out though, and we made alternate plans for the next trip to get Reid back. Bloomington's zoo...which ended up becoming a big park next to the zoo (free and a huge open field!).
It was a great few days - Sunday - Wednesday - and Reid had a wonderful time getting some one-on-one attention. Pretty sure we'll be doing this in the future - calling it Nana Kay camp, lol. I remember going with my Nana growing up with either my big brother or myself, and it was always a welcomed vacation for a few days.
Driving right after saying bye to us.
And 5 minutes later when the air broke in the car on a 92 degree day :(
None worse for the wear. Ice cream will fix anything!
Praying with Papa C.
Dipping fries in cheese (?) like Papa C.
And ICE CREAM!
Nana Kay is spoiling me...2 days in a row with ice cream.
Great grandma racing Reid.
Reid won :)
Mommy's birthday!
Calling mommy to say happy birthday.
Park time!
And show time.
Pretty sure Reid had a good couple of days. And over on our end, we were enjoying swimming classes and birthday celebrations ;)
Holding hands with Dash walking to the class, day 1.

Tuesday was my birthday, and I decided that even if Christian was gone in London, and Reid in St. Louis, I could still celebrate with Micah and Gemma :) We called up some friends and headed out to Kilwins in Geneva for some yummy ice cream.
Birthday selfie.
Micah's photography at work.
And the video I got from Reid. "Hap-py Birth-day Mom-my!" Love.
What a great time we had with Reid! Nana Kay and Papa C didn't want him to leave.
