Camping with Daddy!

Yay - Christian and Micah finally had their camping trip.  We have been talking about this endeavor for awhile, and while plans had to be slightly altered due to it being a holiday weekend (ie, Blackwell Forest Preserve in Warrenville IL versus the Michigan Dunes!), in hindsight it turned out to be a great 1st time camping trip.  That way, if things went bad, they could just pack up and come home.  Also, being close, Reid and I drove out to the campsite and helped Christian set up things and eat dinner before we came home to sleep in our own comfy beds.  That's my kind of camping, lol.

Once the tent was set up, the boys loved running around inside, laughing and giggling.  It was really fun to watch them :)

All set up inside and ready to camp.  And me dripping with sweat, which is when I decided it was okay that I was going home and not staying the night :)

After dinner, Reid and I headed home and Micah and Christian enjoyed some S'More action around the campfire.

Sleep came about 11:15pm, and ended about 5:45am, so needless to say, Christian and Micah arrived back home a little sleepy.  Micah was all smiles though and super excited about his night with Daddy, and that's the important part!  Fun memories being made, and I love being a part of it all (even if more indirectly for this experience, lol!).
